    Default Windows activation virus, malware.

Seems my daughter has picked up a virus on our pc, when i boot up a windows activation window pops up and asks to activate windows, if i click yes it says already validated and reboots, if i click no it shuts down. Got into safe mode and tried an av scan, super anti spyware scan and a malwarebytes scan.
I rebooted but i get an endless loop of rebooting and even trying safe mode again just causes it to reboot again , i finally got it to boot again but get the activation screen again - i'm at my wits end trying to fix this, any suggestions ?

Then why not tell us what it was and how you fixed it? It might help others who run into the same sort of trouble.

Although this was a problem it was actuallu caused by malware that had changed a drive letter which causes the windows activation window to pop up.
First i started in safe mode (after numerous reboots) then hit start>run > regedit.exe , then scrolled down to "HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\C urrent Version\WPAEvents " and then on the line oobetimer click or right click to modify and then edit or delete a few digits. Then reboot and when the activation window pops up click yes and let in activate windows, then the os will start normally and you are back in business.
Now run every AV/ anti malware/ trojan program you have to find the culprit, mine was called something toolkit which avast removed and then on rebbot did a full scan and repaired the errors.
