    Default Mechanical Pencils

A mate of mine is collecting mechanical pencils.

Yeah, Yeah, I know, that's what I said......

So anyway, he's asked me to post up a request, does anyone have some examples of old (preferably) 1980's Papermate Pacers, he'd be happy to pay a few bucks.

Apparently they have a molded ribbed grip on the shaft (the shaft is molded not rubberized) and the writing is in silver. There are a couple of model numbers, 100, 200 & 300, and they come in different colours.

I would appreciate any leads at all, thanks.

bump with a super hi-res picture, this is the sort of molded grip pacer he is looking for, this one is a mini, but any pacer with this grip will do.

I remember those. We had one around the house once.

I always used plain-old Bic for doodling. They're cheap to buy and they hold up just fine.

But if you're looking into ACTUAL illustration, you really need to spend the extra money to get art pencils.
