VAST EPG Improvements?

Noticed the EPG for Gem & Go is now displaying information most of the time.
Pity its not synchronised with what's on the screen like most of the other channels. At least they have someone working on it.
The only ones that seem to be accurate are all the ABC's & SBS.
Imparja was in sync for South but now seems to be out of sync, 7mate is now the only commercial channel with EPG synchronisation. 7 Central may be in sync, hard to tell with the Tennis on all the time.

The management of the EPG should be made to watch the TV so they know what's happening.
If they can get the ABC & SBS correct for all the time zones around OZ, why can't the people doing the Commercial EPG info get it right for North & South?

Is the EPG out of sync in the North as it is in the South?

But Tiny, didnt you notice they have managed to show the not to be missed 'Infomercials'??
Without them life just wouldnt be worth living............................

Yes the EPGs are still all over the place on the commercial stations. Very amateurish...but at least there is something on GO and GEM.

The EPG for terrestrial TV seems OK so why can't they use and adapt that to suit.

Rodnic, your recent installation success has gone to your head otherwise you would know that just because your suggestion is what sensibly should be done, because this isnt Terrestial which if you have VAST you shouldnt be able to see Terrestial to know they are a bunch of DILLs who havent a clue or just dont care.

I have a travellers authorization so of course only checked it out at home to make sure it works. I have to check it quite often and compare it with the home terrestrial system to make sure I'm getting what I paid for. All the programs are the same.

Ahhh, but you shouldnt turn on the VAST traveller at home and thereby being able to see what a shambles the EPG is, thats the whole problem isnt it dishtracked........

Yep, sounds like the EPG is scrambled for all.
Maybe it's the VAST way to torture regional people & grey nomads, or maybe they outsourced the data input to some third world country to keep the cost down.
Hopefully it will get better.

This has been the norm on Regional Terrestial channels for some years, perticularly after midnight for some reason.
This used to annoy me when I was on nightshift that instead of the movie that might help pass the night away, we got those bloody Infomercials.

Channel 10, channel 9, GEM and GO terrestrial in Toowoomba have infomercials or similar so it's not just VAST.

Imparja and SCTV, on the other hand, replace proper programming with even more informercials than the metro 7 and 9. I think that's what people are talking about here.

What times are the extra infomercials on I have not watched VAST for extended periods but the EPG doesn't seem to list any more infomercials than terrestrial. Maybe it was on the old system By the way, now that the tennis is finished SCTV (7) now lists infomercials in the early hours. Also 10 has an hour of infomercials on Sat arvo. I'm not defending the channels as I think there are some worse programs than infomercials

Well atleast now the local regional News channels now tell who the broadcaster is and what localilty on each channel .
Now takes the guessing game away when ch surfn .

If I knew what 'Disses' was I might be worried but I am sure I can find other equally abysmal offerings to add to the ever growing list.
That is one beauty of growing old and thats how easy you can forget these.

Your all misssing the point, it's not about whats on.

No tiny, we're not missing the point at all.
The EPG's are a poor bloody joke that shows either a total lack of interest on the part of the Broadcasters or the total incompetence of those who set them.
Also the lack of a guide for the News channels doesnt help either.
