    Default HDD for Vu+Duo FAIL.

In the past couple of months I've had two 1.5TB WD Green Caviar Drives not work straight out of the bag.

Shits me off to having to send them back to Singapore at my own cost, wen they are brand new.

Recently I had to return a Seagate drive in warranty. Atleast you can return it care of a UPS Sydney address.

My next drive will be a Seagate.

Yeah I still have the second one here. Done an rma, just haven't posted it yet.

Any idea what the DOA period is and is there a standard? Was purchased on the 21st.

I can't remember the last time I had a hdd fail at home. Even at work it's not very often so you are very unlucky.

Ah yer I'm sure. Swapped it with a good one and no probs. Also tried it on a windows box..........zippo.

Sounds like it's trying to spin up, but can't quite get there.

I've emailed the supplier. Hopefully they'll take it back and exchange it.

Well, the seagate issue wasn't exactly the seagates fault

Can't hurt to send it off though and see what happens!
