Have you tried kmplayer?
Leroy
Hi,
I tried to play file recorded on ultraplus with VLC, WMP and TMT3, none of above plays the ts recorded. I managed to open the file in some DVD recording app. Does anyone know which player will play it?
I will try to transfer my recordings from Ultraplus to VuDuo (can't test at the moment) and I'm not sure if it will work. If not, I will need some application to "fix" the ts files so it will be recognised by other software.
Any tips?
Thanks

I copy the ts stream file on my pc and then use videoredo to fix the stream. (not convert) just fix the stream. It only takes a minute or two.
Then the fixed .ts file can be played with most media players.
Thanks guys,
I will try the tips tommorow, shlocker you solution looks the best for the puropse !
Cheers
You need this one
VideoReDo TV Suite H.264 (v4.20.5.600) This I have.
This will do the HD recordings.
I think it was designed for TiVo users and other PVR's
If you download from the site you get a key pass for 15 days trial.
It costs about $100 to buy it.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall, and even system restore to previous point
but you are always locked out. unless you buy it.

I have created a script on on SUSE Linux Server that is run as a cronjob every hour.
The script first checks if the ultraplus is mounted in /mnt/ultraplus and if it isn't it mounts it using cifs
The first time it finds a recording found it does nothing but log the file size.
On the second pass if the file has not grown it starts to conversion proccess.
If the recording spans multiple file they are then joined into a single file using mpgjoin and saved on the local file system. The recordings are then deleted on the ultraplus
If the recording is only a single file it is just moved to the local file system
Once on the local file system it is converted to avi using mencoder
Once converion has finished the ts files are moved into a holding directory. I do this just in case the conversion did something strange so I have a copy of the ts files. I go back from time to time and delete them. The avi files are then moved onto my media share for playback by all my devices inlluding the utraplus
PS. I also had to make some changes to the samba plugin on the ultraplus to do with rights to get the ultraplus to work properly.
Hope that helps

Hi,
Tried to find a placeholder for a bit of experience I developed:
Samba plugin to XP-SP3 (yep thats me ;-)... does not work as result of MS-KB2536276
but... if/when you uninstall that hotfix... then it does work (as it does on any other MS version).
TS streams from the Octagon/Ultraplus are missing some basic header info, as result many players can not play the streams
( I still need to find that famous fixit thing mentioned on the boards),
but... editors like TS-Doctor and SmartCutter do still properly function on the streams and can even play them;
then after editing both the avs4you suite and/or WinX-HD convertor can convert it into just about any other format successfully.
Just my little contribution.
Cheers,
PDK.
To play the TS files from my Ultraplus 980HD I use windows media player with K-Lite Codec Pack 8.6.0 Full installed and have had no problem. A great program I have used to convert these files and others is SUPER by eRightsoft.
Hope this helps.

You could install the fixit_v9 plugin. When you run it , it searches your recordings and converts them so that all the players I have tried will play no problem
