This is really freezing up tonight 1800 to ??.
The others like ONE and 11 dont seem to be affected.

Yep, maybe there testing encryption of one channel to determine the cause & effect of changes to the software download that there preparing.
Just a thought, I may be completely off track

the sooner they either get the firmware fixed or preferably be able to use the card in another box the better
Really annoying when trying to watch the cricket and the bloody thing freezes at a critical moment. Also, 7Mate dropped out completely Saturday evening - tried several rescans and re-boots without luck. Service returned on Sunday morning.
Not sure whether a third party box will fix this but at least we would be able to organise channels, PVR, as well as watch other services.
TEN Central South freezing so bad it's unwatchable, I'm going to contact VAST & see what they have to say about it.

I just checked at 4.45pm (AEDT) and TEN appears to be far more stable now.
Tiny, is this who directs the programming to each area or only the 'Digital Ready' govt department?

I have no idea who or what controls anything to do with VAST.
I'm a mushroom the same as everyone else.
Took me a while to find any way to contact someone by email, plenty of phone numbers, ended up emailing "Digital Unready" Switchover & asked them to direct the info to the most appropriate place. Got 3 replies all saying " Thank you for your email, we are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries and will respond as soon as possible."
Typical Gov't dept.
The fact that it's now better is probably a coincidence.

Thanks tiny, I was a bit doubtfull the 'Digital Ready' dept have any part of the channel programming.
Somebody must choose what programming is sent where and to me that would have to be whoever holds the broadcasting rights for that area/content.
I think Southern Cross has an office for advertising in my area so I might waste a call and check them out.
