    Default avg problem

    schedule scan on avg internet security turns comp off and in scan results says scan log is corrupted scan did not finish anyone know what could cause this and if there is a cure
    any help appreciated

    I don't like AVG and found it really bogged my machines down. I recently changed to Microsoft Security Essentials and this seems a lot better.

    I wouldnt even recommend AVG to my worst enemies.

    AVG internet security. Look I hope you didn't pay for it, but anyway download a copy of Malwarebytes and a copy of Hitman Pro 3.5 and do some scans. You might find something lurking thats killing the system on scan.

    With Hitman Pro you will need a internet connection as it's a cloud based scan.

    never had a prob with avg over 4 years. cant stand peter norton's crap.

    is microsoft security any good?? does it work against the microsoft windows virus? just kidding.

    seriously is it any good and is it suitable for windows pirate edition?

    Seems to work ok on my dodgy copy of win 7 with the loader installed.
