I need to gather as much info as possible about the regional news channels. Can everyone help out by posting start times of local news bulletins they've seen? Hopefully after I gather enough data I'll be able to make a proper EPG for these channels.

Re '400' News channels.
So far the only one I currently know of is the 6pm Terrestial Orange NSW News being shown on 420 twice at approx 8pm and 10pm, weekdays only.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say, I just dont ever remember saying it !!

They still have the loop in the ad breaks...that's more confusion, as you don't know if news will be on in a few mins after the commercial break or not??

Ahh, it must have been during the breaks then. SCTV News Tassie is broadcast live at 6pm EDST, so it's impossible for them to show today's news at 5pm EDST, meaning they're yesterday's repeats. So going by that, plus what I've managed to see, we have:

When I was going through the weekly TV guide in Yesterdays (Wednesday) Sydney Daily Telegraph I saw that it listed the channel numbers along with the Name, ie ONEHD on 1, GO! on 99, 7MATE on 73 etc.
Now these are NOT regional Terrestial numbers so are they the ones used in the Metrop areas as well as VAST ??
If they have done it this way (numbers) for the Metrop and now VAST, why the hell have the regionals been allocated the other sequence?
I dont always buy the midweek paper and only having recent VAST access, I hadnt noticed this numbering before.
Viewer and smacca, I thought there was more activerty on the News channels this week and that the Prime7 news on 420 (Orange) was on earlier than what I posted.

Yes. Regional terrestrial stations use different LCN's than metro terrestrial.
They're numbered differently so set-top boxes can scan and save both metro and regional channels at the same time (for people who can get out-of-area reception).
It could have been on earlier. I get home from work around 5.30pm EDST so I can't actually check it before then.
