    Default Humax 5410 Tuning problems..

Is there a known problem with the tuning mechanism in the humax?
Just moved house and set up the dish with a sat finder but still will not find any signal quality. only strength at 50%.

Tried automatic search to see what sat its pointing to but still nothing.

    ideas??

    Mal.

the LNB frequency is probably different, the two most common are 10700 and 11300.

It sounds like you have the other now....or the disk is out of alignment if it is the same dish that you have transplanted.

If you have two set tops in the chain that has to be undone for scanning...only one set top at a time.

    Thanks Z

The lnb identification plate was faded and the incorrect lnb settings was entered into the humax and now shes a little beauty.

Now to play around with some cards.

    Cheers Mal..

    Mal.

Try re-aligning the dish again, I think that there are 2 sats next to each other and you are on the wrong 1.

    cheers.

As mentioned, 11300 or 10700 are the most common.

If one setting doesn't work, try the other.
