Default smartcard problem with relook 400s

    Hi,
I recently purchased a 400s. Unfortunately I can't get my Viaccess 2.5 card working on it. As soon as I insert it into either CI slot, it says "smart card is wrong". I've tried inserting it with the contacts facing up as well as down. It works fine in my cheap dreamax box. Can anyone help me? Thanks

You might have to install a different softcam. I dont know offhand if the viaaccess cards will work in the slots, you might need a CI module instead.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

    Thanks cwispy and Johnno.
I've tried flashing the Highland and the Fantacy images, but still the card doesn't get picked up by the machine. Will keep trying a few other versions. Cheers

If your not familar with the setup of softcams, install Gbox or Scam. (they might already be installed)
No setting up configs - just slide the card in and you should get pics.

Well thats what happens when i try it..lol

You're right Johnno, I'm not familiar with this at all. Will look into the Gbox and Scam. Can you direct me where I can find out more? Thanks.

Thanks for your help. Gbox worked. I didn't realise that it was already included in with the Highland image.
    Cheers.

    Johonno & Cwispy.
I have just bought a 400s and it says in the manual and spec the card readers are set up for viaccess . I am looking for the best image and plug ins for irdeto 2 ( poxstar) Any clues?. Dentenk has all the software and plug ins but I cant see which encryptions they are good for . I never flashed an image but there seems to be some good tutes on DG Station soi I want o give it a go if someone can point my nose in the right direction. I NOW have a V5 card as the old Spongee cot canned the other day and they issued me with a new box and a married card
    Appreciate any help
