silly question maybe, but here it is.

in internet explorer i put ip in comes up with user and password. From my understanding user- root password (leave blank) this don't work. i want to be able to controll it from my pc.

i can log in via ftp with root - dreambox fine just not in browser.

webif should be same as ftp / telnet username password
to reset it
telnet in and issue passwd comand
if you cant telnet in - find the password reset plugin
also check the webif plugin make sure you dont have https set - I always had trouble logging in with that
