Been using a2btv for over a year now.
Getting all the main Directv channels including local L.A channels for about $50 more than the platinum service from foxtel.
The new stream relay service, allows you to bypass your isp's throttled speed, so you get a pretty good picture but it eats through your quota.

    I've done some measurements.

In 24 hours its 4 gig.

    that's if you watch 24 hours worth...if I watch 6hrs its about a gig.

    that is acceptable to me

Sorry guys missed the no $$$$ in the topic heading.
I just updated the tvu client I had on my htpc the other day and they have some pretty good channels and the quality isn't to bad.

Nasa TV is one of my favorites...

It's a good way to get the one channel that you want, instead of complaining about foxtels useless lineup,
(well in my case the Sci-Fi is all I watch.)

The spike tv, nasa, cbs and Sci-Fi channel feeds on tvu, are the same as what I am getting on Directv.
There were a few more channels on tvu when I first started using it but I think they got told to take them down due to copyright infringment.

Don't forget when you quit TVUplayer it is still running in the system tray
so your acting as a server for others so make sure you exit from
    the system tray also.
