Default Soniq LED TV removing start up tune

I just bought a Soniq LED E42Z10B TV and want to know if it is possible to disable the start up tune it plays everytime you turn the tv on.

I think this happens with all Soniq tvs. Anyone managed to get rid of the annoying tune? I have looked in the manual and the settings but doesn't look like there is an option for it that i can see,

I don't know if this will help you with a Soniq but I have an LG and I couldn't work out how to kill that annoying sound either until a tec came out to fix a problem with it.
Anyway on my LG LCD you go menu -options - power indicator - startup sound - off.
I never looked under power indicator and there it was all along

Hmm I'll give it a go and see if there is something similar.

    Cheers.

If all else fails I'll give them a call tonight and get them to guide me through it.

I have a soniq plasma, the tune only plays with the volume up on the speakers. route the sound through an amp and turn the tv volume off. Fixes the problem.

You've just bought a nice screen, but you're not getting the full experience without a 5.1 decoder. spend a little more and get some speakers it'll sound a whole lot better and you won't have to put up with the annoying start up tune.

you don't work for harvey norman do you???

    UPSELL UPSELL!!! LOL!!!

i'd reccomend even buying a cheap amp/dvd or bluray combo. i think the dvd ones can be had for under $150, just make sure it has an digital input that matches your tv digital output. it's something you won't regret as most tv speakers sound really tinny. and you'll get rid of the startup tone too.

Just tried to call Soniq and after a few rings a message played "We are currently experience high call volumes, please call again later" It then hangs up. So i can't hold on the line to speak to someone? Poor customer service.

buy cheap and thats the level of support you should expect...

as the rich keep saying, "buy cheap and buy often"

i was a warranty agent for soniq for a while, not long just a short while!
When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!

    Spot on.
I mean I am happy with the picture and quality but went cheap due to budget and the fact this tv has PVR and USB function. Not many that size have these 2 features.

chances are the cheap stuff and the expensive stuff share a lot of componentry...there aren't that many lcd manufacturers in the world.

as an example look at celestial, teac, and palsonic (yes i know they are cheap rubbish). all share the same internals and some have the same software, just a different logo comes up when you turn them on. but 3 different price points and the manufacturers claim theirs is better than the competitors.

For a sonic TV - Press Menu * go to Sound. * go to POWER MUSIC ON. Press ok and it will change to off.
    Works on all Sonic TVs
