    Default Vu+ duo latest firmware

    With some new firmware thats been released in the last few weeks or so by Vti & VIX im just enquiring on what firmware you guys are running atm for you Vu+ Duo? and what your likes and dislikes are for that particular firmware.

    openpli 2.0 - constantly backed up then updated from osd

    likes - its pli - always up to date - bleeding edge beta's
    dislikes - .....
    Dm500, DM5620, DM600 x2, DM7000 x1, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, VU+DUO and a partridge in a pear tree

    The same image I started with.....OpenPLi-2010-05-21

    It works and does everything its meant to......I am not much of an updater just for the sake of it. If I get something that works I leave it that way.

    I will go with Sanity on this one have tried the latest PLi and VIX images but keep going back to PLi 1.0 to many bugs in the other images for me ATM.

    Vic what sort of bugs did you find in the new vix 2.0 image??? i havnt had any green screens at all its working just fine on my end been running it for 2 weeks now!!!

    I'm with you CRO, no greens what so ever but It would I guess depend very much on what you are using the box for, some use it simply as a stand alone STB others I've heard actually configure it as a server. I ghuess it's all to do with how much work you have it doing.

    Network bug to start with
    BTW I have found if you use local address ie 17.0.0.1 on the vu+duo it clears the channels a lot faster then say using the box ip in the cccam or mgcamd files

    you mean 127.0.0.1 which is the local loopback address but really it shouldn't matter if you use it's ip or hostname.

    VIX 2.1 should be out later this afternoon or by monday at the latest for the DUO / SOLO and the clark tech et9000. sic and the lads are just finishing some last minute things before release.

    well a little later than first thought, but vix 2.1 has just been released for the VU DUO and SOLO
