XP email back up

I have a new desktop computer that came with Vista Ultimate and I wish to back up Outlook express inbox in XP on my old machine and transfer contents to Vista Ultimate mail program on my new machine. Is this possible and how do I do this?. All help very much appreciated.

yes, go to file menu and then export, u will have option to export ur inbox and outbox and sent messages usually as .pst (personal file i think) which you will have put on usb or something and then import on another computer. its fiarly quick unless your inbox is very big
