    Default Vast wa

Guys my cousin lives in a remote part of WA he has a Aurora card
and is looking to purchase a Altech UEC box.

He is wondering whether he can have access to Vast WA Channels.... now or does he have to wait till 2013.

    Thanks

    G'Day Cobber,
It is my considered opinion, given that he has Aurora, he would be well advised to hang fire until all the options are on the table.
Seems that there will be two other contenders to supply the boxes and that the current UEC boxes do have their problems.
Other options include PVR and access to other FTA channels etc.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

As far as I know WA is still Waiting Awhile, rumours say that you will be able to register this month? next month? soon?. Proof is in the pudding. Officially end half of 2013.

VAST is not available in WA yet (this has been covered numerous times in several threads).

The last information was that it would be available 'early 2011' however, 'early' is rapidly running out!

A lot of the availability issues are due to broadcasters funding terrestrial translators in some areas. The same is happening all over Australia.

In areas where there is, and not ever likely to be, no chance of terrestrial DTV translators, I don't see why access to VAST cannot be made available now, especially for those dependent on Aurora now.

I'd agree that it would be wise to wait, firstly until the signals are made available to WA and secondly, greater choice of VAST decoders are available.
