Default Sharp 10700 Quad Feed LNB

I have a sharp 10700 Quad feed LNB

Should each decoder attached to a separate feed be able to switch to either H or V without interfering with the other H/V feeds?

The Quad LNB is actually 4 independent LNB's in a single housing (the same a dual output LNB being two independent LNB's), so yes, the H/V switching is independent for each of it's outputs.

It wouldnt hurt to check the ends of the cable where they attatch to the LNB to ensure moisture hasnt managed to get there.
It only takes a drop to stuff things up.
I am curious as to what has happened, have you lost ALL 4 or just ???
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

I have 3 decoders to 3 of the 4 LNB feeds,

But I have found that one of the decoders when switching from H to V or vise versa will effect the polarity of one of the other decoders of a separate feed.

Do you have anything else between your decoders and LNB?
Such as splitters, diplexers, multiswitches or DiSEqC switches?
If so, that would explain your problem.

No nothing between the decoders and the LNB, each decoder goes straight to a feed on the LNB

OK then, have you tried changing cables between LNB and STBs?
It would seem that you have a faulty cable, either O/C or S/C.
Another way to check, if you have a Multi-meter, is to measure the 18/14 V on the cables to the LNB.
Another possibility is water ingress if you do not have drip loops and use "Self Amalgamating Tape" over all connections.

I have to redo all the feeds anyhow, some have been up there for about 10 years, and have done a few renos so I will replace them,

hahah last time I was on the roof (2 story house) the ladder fell away from the house while I was on the roof, the missus couldnt pick the ladder up of the ground, so she had to ring a mate to come and put the ladder back up, I was on the roof for 30min
