Default University of Canterbury's Japan Quake Map

The University of Canterbury in New Zealand has created an interactive map showing the seismic activity which has hit Japan. The sheer number of aftershocks is staggering.
    It can be viewed at

Once all the data has loaded, running your cursor over any one of the lines in the right-hand panel illustrates the location and extent of that particular 'quake.
Change the time setting at the top right hand side.

Daily Energy Release Chart and other information is available at top right hand section of web page.

Be patient as the data could take a while to load due to current high demand.

    glad I'm not there.
If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.

I am not going to get into the Nuclear debate here but seeing where the 'Fault' line is, it make you wonder why they placed the plant there rather than much further south or even to the opposite side.
I like most have very little knowledge of the 'mechanics' of an Earthquake as to how the forces travel from an epicentre to the surrounding areas.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
