If anyone has issues unlocking it for your device, like i did.... use fast image unlocker 1.9...it worked a treat.

Hey, question... The unlocked image is a gpsmapsupp.img file which would go on the SD card rather than internal memory.
Where does the junction view file go then?

    EDIT,,,
Bah, easy you can rename it and load it as the rom file

    Install mapsource:
    Windows XP:
Copy "City Navigator Australia And New Zealand NT 2012.10.gmap" folder into
    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
    OR
    %APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps

    Vista and windows 7:

Copy "City Navigator Australia And New Zealand NT 2012.10.gmap" folder into
    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GARMIN\Maps
    OR
    %APPDATA%\GARMIN\Maps
(or something like that all other languages)

After that use mapsource special & Jetmouse keygen

    MapSource v6.16.3 - Patched
Works with Jetmouse and send maps all drives, install replace EXE file or just use special alone
    mirrors:

    UnLock Map or Mapsource
    1. Put your DeviceID ( In Garmin Tools/Settings/About or some similar)
    2. Select <custom mapset>
    3. Put MapID
    4. Generate

5a. Unlock map image - Make .UNL file with this 25 digits generated key ( If map is GMAPSUPP.IMG make GMAPSUPP.UNL file...) (save as .UNL not .UNL.TXT)
    or
5b. Unlock Mapsource map - Unlock map in Mapsource go menu "Utilities\manage map products\Unlock regions" push add button and add key here

Default don't want to break things!

Is it correct that the unlocked files can simply be directly copied to the GPS?

To make sure I don't turn my garmin nuvi into a brick, can somebody please tell me what files need to be copied (and perhaps renamed), and into which directory they should go.

And perhaps also which original files on the GPS should be retained.

Thank you for the original posting,

I have Garmin Nuvi 3790T I bought in Europe complete with all European maps.

What I did - I created a directory called Maps inside the internal memory of my unit and simply copied unlocked .IMG files into is. It worked well.

But I can not get JunctionView to work. If somebody could suggest how to install it please

    Default New to updating

Ok guys I am posting even though I may seem like an idiot but I'm willing to cop it. I've download the unlocked mapsource,3d building, image and junction view. I have a Nuvi 765 so far I have copy and pasted the 3d building, and image roms. But I can't seem to figure out how to use the mapsource download and put the new junction view on there. Should I just rename D2003060A to cnausnz? Cheers for any help

    Check my post here

If you want to keep your european maps then I suggest you pay attention to backing up a copy of them.
You could also leave the maps where you have them, just follow steps skipping steps 3 & 4.

    Should work for you.
    Cheers, Tiny
