    Default Next G Signal Strength since CDMA shutdown

    Has anyone noticed if the signal strength on there Next G phones has increased since CDMA shutdown last night.

    Could it be that from your place to the local tower some trees have been cut down, or did they install a new tower closer to your place?

    I think that as the infrastructure is removed from the CDMA network then more of a direct connection will be available to the NextG network I think NextG shared aerial cables and multiplexers, so when the CDMA part of the hardware is removed the NextG may see more gain both on transmit and receive. Perhaps I am being a little hasty in not letting the Telstra Techs pull out the old gear before making decisions.
