Default Installed my first wiikey, how do I know it's working?

Just installed my first Wiikey, checked the serial number it takes a wiikey. Installed it checked solder all ok. Put it together, downloaded and burnt PAL 1.9s. Doesn't work!

I'm I burning it wrong? doesn't it have to be 4.7Gb big?

    Help!!!

Does the console still read original disks?
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

did you just burn the update disk itself ?
try doing it with gcos disk and then do the update from there , sometimes I have needed to do this with the wiikey
if the gcos works well then you got the installation spot on

ok, took it apart, still can't see what's wrong.

excuse the lifting of the pad and connecting straight to the chip.

Can anyone see why this wouldn't work?

kay the pic is not great , but from what I can see there the point that you have wired directly to the ic is on the wrong leg
you have it on the 6th leg , it should be on the 7th
try it and give it a go
