    New ones are 6.0

You can check under Menu, Advanced Options, Information, Irdeto CA Status, Smart Card Status, then check the Version.

easiest way is the original 5.7 cards were white and the new ones, 6.0 are green

I'll take a photo of them one day. The VAST cards have the exact same design as Aurora's purple Epsilon cards. The white one is a version 5.7 and says "KAPPA" instead of "EPSILON" and mostly white in colour instead of purple. Not sure what the green card's codename is, but they're lime green in colour instead of purple.

Oh, and you'd be surprised how many suppliers out there still have v5.7 cards for sale. Especially when they're campers looking for sats.

Does the card version make any difference to the operation of the box Given that the card and box are 'married' I suppose the latest card could not be fitted to an existing box.

Old or new, the cards in use now would have to have similar specs to conform with the VAST requirements but colour, material, printing, naming would be up to the manufacturer for their own production identification.

I bought my box in mid Dec 2010. The Menu etc says it is version 6.
