I have tried a version of iGo Primo 9.2 on my car double din gps unit and have a question for the more experienced...
I cannot get the text to speech working. It comes up with a windows error saying voice files are not compatible.
I have read Hollowmans posts and his links are dead, but think the 8.2 version might not be compatible.
Anyone ?!?

Thanks for the info... but it hasn't worked.
I have also tried info from hollowman's post
[tts]
tts_buffer=131072
tts_logics=3
always_say_road_names=1
announce_street_name=1
announce_exit_directions=1
skip_exit_numbers=0
priority="HIGH"
but that doesn't work either.
are you using loquendo tts files?
if so with the above sys.txt entries and ALL the correct files in the correct places tts does indeed work on the latest primo

The Early Bird May Get The Worm But Its The Second Mouse That Gets The Cheese!
I am using the loquendo tts files and the folder and the dll files were placed in the root directory with the executable igo file.
I also now noticed that intermittently I loose all audio from the gps and its kills the radio audio as well. I have to turn it off and back on to fix both.
Gave up on the Loquendo files and used Nuance TTS. All works now.
However, in another thread I question the reliablity of Primo as intermittently the audio drops off and kills the radio as well. Only a power off/on fixes that.
Unless someone has a solution... I am moving to TomTom.
Have you tried the Nuance non-TTS voices to see if it is the TTS that is causing the problem? I do hope you realise that the TomTom WinCE version does not support TTS, so you will be stuck with ordinary voices anyway.
Cheers, Ian

Hi Ian,
Yes, read above... I have the Nuance voices working. The problem is that I can drive somewhere for 15 minutes without problems, then without warning the radio stops working and the gps audio stops giving directions.
Side Issue - the unit was pre installed with Sygic Drive... ok but seen better. Used TomTom One for years and always been happy with it.

Yes, this line was added to the voice info.ini file and made no difference.
Loquendo voices not working, Nuance voices are. Audio still drops out intermittently
