HUMAX 5400Z Firmware Update

How do I tell what firmware my unit has. The unit has never been opened apart from me cutting a hole on the card reader for heat to escape.
Someone mention something about ZIC.
I found ZIC in mine and its is ZIC 1.06.04. Is this the firmware???
Also, where can I find the latest firmware? and how do I load it?
Does the unit have to be allcammed? I`d prefer it not to be.

Any help or ideas/ links will be greatly appreciated.

Ahhh but this one I don't want to modify, it's an original 5400.
(I know, in my first post I said modified box, but I was thinking of another I have)
This one is pristine and gammas run quite cool in it. It's the only Humax I have (out of a total of four) where I don't have heating problems.

There are a number of Humax tuners, amongst them the 5400, 5400Z, 5410 & 5410z
The Z models can be patched using a Z Board to boot loader 2.08 (old original 5400 non z bootloader). From here u can load in ToH3.2 HoT 1.8. or whatever version is current.

As I said, The Humax 5400Z and 5410Z decoders can be flashed (at your own risk) by using these Z-Boards to do it you would also need to utilise either the correct JP 255 (Molex p/n 52368-0401) connector or a suitable replacement (Motherboard side)

Thanks alot guys, I think i`m gonna keep it stock (original). Apart from the added fan I put in to keep the card cooler.

Been told by a few people not to do anything else. Not needed.
