    Default OpenBox S9

    Hi,
I have an openbox S9 HD. It runs linux. It is a cheap receiver and has limited functionality. For example it can run as a CCCam Client but not as a NewCamd client. I would like to connect it to a Newcamd Server. Is there a way i could use a linux pc as an Newcamd --> CCCam relay ?
The pc would act as both Newcamd client / CCCam Server : relaying all data from client --> server.

if it runs cccam client .. see if there is a cccam.cfg ..then see if you can use a N: line in that .. it makes cccam client look like a newcamd client

alternatively ..run cccam client/server on the box that you run newcamd on.
then your openbox cccam client can run from the cccam as the middle man

I have got to say Im very impressed with this box runs nice and cool and a very easy box to set up. Out of the box and running in 4 minutes with mcamd line I would recommend it for HD.

Bang for buck if this is all you want to do they are great! They also blindscan which is a bonus for the feed hunter.

A SEARCH of these forums would provide the answer.

A link to the latest software can be found at .

It is possible to add satellites of your choosing ... MENU > SATELLITE LIST > EDIT or ADD.
To search for channels ... INSTALLATION > SINGLE SATELLITE SCAN > SCAN MODE > BLIND SCAN.

Other threads (SEARCH) discuss channel lists etc.

There is much discussion re. Openbox S9 on other European forums. They can be found by using Google or other internet search engines.

A Western Digital WD Elements 320GB USB2.0 Portable Hard Drive. They were just under $50 at Office Works when I bought mine earlier this year.

    Works very well for me.
