Have you programed the eeprom hex successfully using phoenix mode .
You need to burn the silver loader first to allow this to work.

A Elvis and Ghost silver doesnt need lmedit, just use MultiProg from the Elvis website, to load silver pic & hex

    1) use lmedit (in phoenix/smartmouse mode) to read the valid goldie and save it (as a .lme file) for later use.
    2) erase the pic and eeprom on the silver, using the mastera in jdm/ludi mode
    3) PROGRAM THE PIC AND EEPROM WITH THE NECESSARY GHOST CODES. If it won't program, the card is stuffed.
    4) use lmedit to read the card (in phoenix/smartmouse mode) , if successful then load the previously saved file. THEN change the card type to silver/emerald/fun in lmedit.
    5) write the new details to the card.

I suspect that the card either has ausgold on it or is corrupted.

I'm dumb like a house brick..

Whats the easiest way to do this ??
what program can / do I use to wipe/erase the silver totally & start again with the eeprom then everything else.

here is my Mastera II & manual

I'm currently loading a old copy of XP onto a small hdd to test it working with LMEdit as I still cant get it to work on anything with SP2..
also tried Card Writer & it just locks the hummy..

still stumped as to why i can use GGedit for a goldie , but cant read anything in LMEdit at all.. still error msg from previous..

    Ok Update time...

Installed clean & bare XP Pro to hdd loaded enough drivers etc to make it workable with the nic etc..

Tried to run LMEdit & installed as required the .ocx files & after it started tried the Mastera in "Phoenix modes 0 & 1" (6Mhz & 3.5Mhz) & still same message on the silvers.. tried a goldie same same.. ( yes i changed the card / Mhz details each time )
tried "MY goldie" & still no joy.. so its not the cards stopping it from working.

Then started gge in modes "0 & 1" straight away read goldie in both modes...

So im still @ the same point.. silvers that i can use or even get the LMEdit to actually run...

So it also seems its not a XP SP thing either..

    Sure am..

But i'm not sure if "I'm trying" or the process is " Trying"

either way i still cant figure out whats going on & WHY I cant get it to work when any other program seems to work fine in this exact config

ie : gge & goldies.. read , save , copy , write etc..
Can do all the goldies I want , ( OH cept for the 2 on my desk, they dont wanna play the game.. Maybe they are GhostGold ?? HOW does 1 tell ???? )

but these silvers are really starting to get to me..

Hmm well ATm , I have 3 different silvers & multiple goldies.

LMEdit wont read any of them as I only get as far as the error message all the time.

I seem to get a bit of Communication happening with ggedit_2_31r2.exe.
Lights flash on and of when trying to program it... but then comes up with error so there is something missing or not correct on the card is my guess.. Ill have to put the silver loader thing in i think that was mentions above.. links anyone..

I dunno about your gear, but I have jumpers on my one to change between phoenix/smartmouse,3.5/6.8, battery on / off.Use a mixture of these , but be certain to mirror the same on the lmedit setup screen, as well as ensuring you have changed the parameter of GG/GS. I can't see it that one would work and not the other. You should also have the COMDLG32.ocx and MSCOMM32.ocx in your directory.
    Good luck
viewer.......do these two .ocx files go into the system folder or system 32 folder? and then I need to register them?

I was up till 2.00am this building my jaycar mkII programmer from scratch and when I go to load the silver bootloader at the verify stage I get the verify error at 000h!

    its really p*$%ing me off

I have always put the 2 files in the LMEdit folder...didn't need to register them.
