    guys
    my mate asked me about a camera setup to see who's driving past his house
    nothing flash, just a camera, setup to record certain hrs of the night id say
    i saw a ip camera? to wirelss router with av out. can that go to a tv card & record?
    or do i need a dvr thingy?
    any advice

    Ip cameras at that end of the market are questionable at best. They record straight to your pc so need for any fancy bits of kit. A decent stand alone dvr with a decent camera is the best way to go IMHO. Don't expect number plates or faces and don't expect that you're going to see much of anything at night.
