How do you stop all the Viagra, penious? enlargements, and all the other shit that comes down the internet? what do you have to do? Nortens didn't work. AVG didn't work, Foxfire didn't work .......................what does??????????????

use a different email to sign up at stupid sites and leave you real email address alone.There are so many web based email places just sign up and away you go.I have about 20 for that very reason.

Well for the quiet person, That didn't know about 20 or more e-mail addresses what can one do? STUPID SITES well how about AUSTEC? Google? AND any other non porographic site but all I get is SHIT! Answer that.

I purchased I've been using it for about two months now and I'm lucky to get 1 spam per week over 8 different email accounts including 2 x hotmail (Those are the difficult ones to stop spam coming from)

Have you checked with your provider to see if they can turn up the spam filtering on your account or can you do it via a control panel on their website?

Sign up for a Gmail account , you can add any other POP3 email address to it as well and make use of its excellent spam filters.

The only way you are going to get shitloads of it is if you post your email address on the internet such as in forum posts , or some idiot subscribes your email to it for you.

OK I have your attention, I have found my Pay Pal reciept for the lounge so I should send it to ? Not being any more annoying but I whish to properly do this and have no mistakes.
also I hope that the nastys don't bite the forum again.
And as for the spam I will try some of the advice, thanks for the good advice.

You could try that CONTACT US link at the bottom of every page. It would be more likely to be dealt with than the mis-spelt domain address ( Austec ) you keep posting. Seriously , you have been a member here for many years , have you always spelt it that way and wondered why you havent got a reply ? It may explain some things.

The site is Austech , not Austec as you have mentioned twice in this thread. If you are sending mail to " Austec " this site definately wont be getting it.

Fire up that punch card reader up on the 7th floor and once you load the program back into the main frame, you can warm up the valves on the Data Bank server and get things back to normal at austec...

I have a mail account with bluebottle.com (free) itsorts out junk very affectively, I dont get anything I didnt want. I would reccomend highly. Also if you use firefox, try addon tempory inbox for your online work. it provides a box to recieve passwords etc from accounts you sign up for and it dissapears I think twelve hours later.

SPAM usually results from you putting your email address up on a mailing list or dodgy website - but can also stem from stupid people who "CC" emails rather than "BCC" them. [I tell people off who do this]

I have a two Hotmail accounts and often get 3 - 5 SPAM emails a day in my main one - I just click the "Junk" button on them and live with it. I don't get any SPAM in my other Hotmail account.
I have a couple of Fastmail accounts as well, and I don't get ANY SPAM in them at all.

You must be joking to think that Norton's would do anything useful with SPAM - hell, it can't even detect viruses so it sure isn't going to stop the odd rogue email!
