    Default Chinese GPS upgrade

    Hi Im new to this GPS upgrades etc.
    Just got a 4.3 GPS from china.
    It has igo 8.3.4.102680 installed.
    Real noob question. to upgrade the maps , is that an upgrade of the base software or can just the maps be done? or both?

    how does one tell what version the maps are?
    what are the maps called, within the folders?

    basically what im trying to do is get the latest maps for new zealand.

    I dont really care which brand of software is used
    I would appreciate some pointers please

    Either the maps or both! If you like how iGO is running, then only the maps will do just fine.

    Settings -> About -> Maps

    On your SD Card you should have an iGO folder. From there go to "contents" and then "maps".
