    Default dm500c

Need help please.I inserted my fox subscription card and have scanned all the channels into the dm500c but the only pictures i get are channel 9,7 and go, although all the channels are there but no pictures or sound. I have tried searching around but could not find a solution to the problem. I have a blue fox card. Thanks.

Ive seen that happen if you do a C line into oscam on an Optarse subbie. An N line would work.

You can't just "insert your sub card". You need to install a "server" to serve the card details (decryption codes) and a "client" to receive the card details (decryption codes). In your case both the "server" and the "client" are on the same box - your dreambox.

Here are the instructions you need:

Casull it looks like i have Pli Jade3 20090627 with tuner/framebuffer. I will be flashing the box as per Lomax instructions.

Thank you Lomax. Spent the whole weekend reading and experimenting.I eventually managed to get the box connected by ftp and went through your instructions but no luck as yet. Plenty frustrations but will perservere until i get it working. This is the file i downloaded from Streamboard (oscam-0.99.4-UMP-svn2090-ppc-tuxbox-linux-trunk-webif). Will try again this weekend.

Use Frequency: 0618 in a manual transponder scan. The other suggested settings in step2 are correct.

I highly recommend a read of the oscam thread as there are a few ways to skin the oscam cat.

Also, you are using a blue card so don't require a boxid in the server file.. little things like this you will pick up on with more reading. It's all there.

For blue card use caid=096b in the oscam.server file instead of caid=096c (096c is for orange card).

For blue card use priority = 096B in the oscam.conf file instead of priority = 096C (096C is for orange card).

Also, as mentioned by th37sk, you do not need to worry about boxid with a blue card, just omit the "boxid=" line from the oscam.server file.

Having said all that, I would begin by just doing a scan and getting channels found. You should be able to watch the EXPO channel because it is unencrypted. Once you have achieved this, then start mucking around with oscam.

    Default Dm500c

I now have all the pictures and sound that i subscribe to. I had to change the softcam setup to as follows:
    Default softcam= CCcam-2.2.1
    Cardserver=oscam
That way it reads the card and gives pictures.
If i set the default softcam to NONE as in lomax instructions then i get nothing.
I must have some incorrect setting somewhere
