    Default DM800HD Orange Fruity help needed...

    Hi,
    I've been a happy DM500 & DM800HD bluey card user for some time and recently took the step to upgrade my F**tel sub to IQ2 which resulted in a new orange card.
    After doing lots of reading and trying lots of things I'm still going nowhere.

    The DM800 is running nabilosat E2 with CCcam2.0.9 - i've converted the 11 digit serial number (1022xxxxxxx - hope this is the right number to use); dropped the first and last digits and converted to hex and put in a BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx into my .cfg file.

    Still no pics.

    Some of what I've read suggests oscam - but does this also mean replacing enigma? What is the best image/emulator combination for an orange card with minimal sharing (i.e. to 1 dm500)?

    All help greatfully received!

    OpenPLi is the image to use, IMO.

    Tutorial for DM500 oscam server install here:

    If you want to run the oscam server on the DM800 instead, the instructions are the same but instead of downloading the PPC oscam binary, you need to get the MIPSEL oscam binary, from here:

    Default pics now working but challenged with oscam as a server...

    Thanks Lomax - I have oscam and installed and working and also thanks Vic, I didn't need to drop the first number so that heped with boxkey.
    Unfortunately, I'm struggling with oscam as the server environment. With the blue card and CCcam, my DM500 quite happily was a client to the DM800 but I can't work out what needs setting up in oscam. Is it an ok config to run cccam on the dm500 as client to oscam on the dm800 as server?
    Is there a link you can point me to?
    thanks very much again.

    Yes you can run CCcam as a client on the dm500 I use newcamd protocol which is setup in oscam.conf file; however I prefer to use mgcamd as a client as its faster then CCcam

    I'm assuming you have the oscam server running.

    add to /var/tuxbox/config/oscam.conf:

    [newcamd]
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    port = 10000@096c:000000;

    add to /var/tuxbox/config/oscam.user:

    [account]
    user = username
    pwd = password
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au = reader1 <---OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE LABELLED YOUR READER AS IN /var/tuxbox/config/oscam.server
    ident = 096c:000000
    caid = 096c

    Restart oscam server.

    Now, install CCCam as per normal on the DM500 but change /var/etc/CCCam.cfg to look like this:

    N: 192.168.0.6 10000 username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    Note that the "192.168.0.6" above should be changed to the ip address of your dm800. Restart the DM500.

    Hope this gets you going.
