    Default ABC 24 Jerky

Anyone else had a jerky ABC 24 the past few days? Looks sort of like video clip buffering.

I noticed it a few days back...... but was only happening on ABC News 24 (SA) at that time,

it now appears to be only happening on ABC News 24 (QLD) ?

    can anyone confirm this ?

(It appears to be a broadcast issue related to the broadcasters new decoders....

.......related to the new Encryption used with Vast)

not a good look for Vast to continue to have these problems, (whether it is a STB, or broadcaster problem)

I had the voice on GEM out of Sync on Sunday, I cant be sure if it was the TV or VAST.
It was ok on another channel and ok when I went back to GEM but did it again for a few moments then it was OK.
A couple of times it sounded like the Audio had slowed down although the Video appeared normal.

Yes, the jerkiness is on ABC 24 Qld. The sound on other channels occasionally drops out for about 20 seconds. The box reboots every 2 or 3 days or so.

Has been occuring on and off on my UEC for months now - seems to be limited to ABC24 Qld.

It is bad isnt it ? All the other '24's seem ok.
One good thing is that unless it has a specific QLD section, you can watch it on one of the other '24's.

This short term picture freeze has been happening on ABC 24 NSW for quite some time now.

Just like listening to ABC radio news while watching an Edison Kinetoscope.

What a waste of a HD channel when it's just ABC radio news with a talking head

My ABC 24 NSW is still freezing, been like that for a good 3-4wks now.

Yes is a waste, you could probably add another one to that list being ONE HD.
Currently showing some airline hostess program atm in 4:3. Where's the sport, HD and widescreen in that?

All channels when changing have audio come up first, then 2-3 sec later up comes the pic.

    Thanks Xplorer,

I am getting the Picture stuttering on ABC News 24 (SA) ATM,

I have heard this is a problem with the broadcasters equipment, & when they re-boot their encoders, it fixes the problem.... (for a while)

don't know when they will fix it permanently.... ?
