    Hey guys, just wondering if 2009 DEM files will work on AUS R18 maps.

    are there any updates on the DEM files or are the 2009 version still the latest ones?

    just did some research on the forum and found out there is a big version of the AUS dem file, unfortunately the link is dead can someone reupload that file?

    The shape of the earth hasn't changed enough to need new Dem files

    Actually I don't think the Tsunami made a lot of difference to the actual profile of the coastline of Japan, the bigger change was in New Zealand after the Christchurch quake which actually moved NZ closer to Australia by a bit. Whether it was enough to require new DEM details is probably debatable.

    Japan(or the east coast) moved almost 5 metres from the earthquake that set off the tsunami. which is more than the NZ earthquake
