    Default Satellite reception

Anyone been to Exmouth in WAs NW, if so what's the sat reception like?

Hope it's better than Shark Bay!

    G'Day Cobber,
I find it extremely difficult to conceive how there would be any difference for similar installation and equipment for 2 locations so near each other.
Consequently I would be checking your current installation for bugs.
Satellite reception is not reliant on topography over a very wide area with a clear view of the Clarke Belt.

    Hi beer4life
I'm well experienced it set ups but unless you've been to Shark Bay then you wouldn't understand how it is there.
Carnarvon is also another hard to get spot unless you have a 1200mm dish, which i've got but i wont be taking that with me.

Amazing, perhaps you should tell us which Satellites and whether C or Ku Band.
Yes, I've looked at a wide view of the map and cannot spot anything that would degrade the signal. 'twould be interesting if there is a logical explanation.
    Footprints for C1.

    Hi, beer4life,

Optus CI KU band 156deg. Maybe where i've tried i've been in blackspots, but i'm not the only one i've seen guys neally tear their hair out in desperation.
The signal in some cases is as low as 10% quality and in other cases the screen shows no audio or video.

The big dish is the answer but as i said i'm not carting that around.

When i've been over east the signal is a lot stronger than some parts of the West.
