nevermind... i managed to press tv guide on the box.... and then setup on the remote and it worked that way...
Hi im sorry if this has been covered before i tried doing some searching through the website couldn't find anything...
anyway.... i have a spare select tv satellite on the roof and wanted to see if one of my foxtel boxes would work through it after redirecting the DISH... (which i failed doing lol), i changed the Lo frequency on my foxtel box while it was still connected to the foxtel satellite, but now that it can't find either satellite it wont let me enter the setup/settings menu..... help please? i just want to revert it back to 10700 instead of 11300....
ive done the reset holding back and select buttons and also by pulling out the power for 30 seconds still not working...
the box i have is(from foxtel website) one of DC420, DC420NF and DS420.
thanks in advance for any help.

I think the Selectv dish is pointing at a different satellite than C1/D3 so there is no way you can use that STB without redirecting the dish.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
By the way the Foxtel STB can only be used for Foxtel Services.....
but I think you have worked that out.....
were you using it for Foxtel with a Foxtel card ? (with a Foxtel Subsccription)
before you decided to experiment ?

yea it was pointing at an intelsat... but i tried redirecting it to c1/d3 but failed... also the dish seems to be a lot smaller than the foxtel one might have to buy a similar one?
thanks for the help guys....
osirus.... yes i have foxtel card and original boxes and subscriptions.... i have three because a family member works for them so we get it on the cheap.
Connect your Foxtel STB, back to the Foxtel Satellite Dish
Then try this
Press Setup on the remote
Go to System Setup -Press Select
Go to System Settings - Press Select
Go to Picture Settings - Press 0611 - then Press Select
Go to LNB Setup - Press Select
(Change LNB settings) - Go to save New Settings - Press Select
Good Luck

thanks osirus... yea i managed to fix it... i connected it back to the foxtel dish....
when the wrong Lo frequency is set you can't get into the setup menu by pressing set up on the remote.... it just sits there saying 'no satellite signal found' (or something like that) but if you press the tvguide button on the front of the box and then press the set up button it lets u get into the settings... i was just having trouble because the box wasnt reponding to remote commands when there was no satellite signal...
thanks again for your help
