GPS Unit Recommendation

Hi Guys,

I'm working on a little project and I need some expert advise.
I would like to modify gps unit to act as in car entertainment as well as gps navigation.
So basically mp3 player with as much storage as posible 16Gb or more. 4.3" screen and reliably hackable os.
Ability to create custom menus will be plus.

Which unit would you recommend to suite most of the criteria.

I use the tomtom go 710 with a movie player software and mp3 software.

works great, and the tomtom is (imho) the best GPS in terms of accuracy, features and intuitive design/interface

Once you convert a bunch of movies you can fit quite a few on a standard 2GB SD
