have a look in your local paper or phone book.
already posted this at vetrun, but havent gotten any recommendations yet, so i thought i would see if anyone here could help.
i am pretty sure i am about to bite the bullet on this one and hook up a couple of ku band dishes or maybe just 1.
Ideally i am looking for a (hopefully cheap) installer in the cranbourne area to help me setup a motorised dish and maybe a static one for selectv.
I think i have decided i want a strong 4658 so i can also do scanning and maximise my fta value, and have a selectv card and also either a setanta or other card for other systems in there.
So can anyone make any recommendations for companies that will do this sort of thing? The one or two that I have already spoken to seemed to be against the idea of a motorised ku band dish. Dunno...
Willing to take recommendations for other types of stb's as well. HAve considered Dreamax, am reasonably conversant with linux, but want something the GF can use with minimal tuition.
thanks heaps,
raph

funny you should mention that. Having just moved to a new suburb, i have neither local paper, or phone book. However I have spoken to 1 or 2 and as previously mentioned in my post, they were reluctant to do a motorised ku.
I'd contact Marcus from melbourne satellites, he may be able to point you in the right direction... great bloke.
STBs ? I recommend any of the arion boxes Mine only has a single CI, and has scart/composite/and RF out. Scart goes to my DLP via component and RF straight to my media centre rig for recording. I imagine there are 2CI versions as well
The other thing I really like about the arion... they look pretty >> Ive spent alot of $$ on getting a setup with great performance that looks good in my HT room, so I dont want a butt ugly strong box in there making it look all 80s
Still, Im sure thats not a huge consideration for many hehe
