Default Cut a protected picture from a web page

My daughter is trying to select bridesmaid dresses, and wants to compare some images from online web pages, side by side.

I cannot select the image, as the right click function doesn't work (protected??) on the site..eg. Go to site under, and click the last link on the left hand menu "ONGOING BRIDESMAIDS"

How can I extract these and paste a couple of shots side by side please?

On the pc, I only have Paint,Word,Excel,Powerpoint,Coral Draw,Microsoft Publisher.

I have never been good at this sort of thing, and this shows I'm not !

    Any help appreciated

Click on the link and wait until the photo you want shows up. Then click Print Screen on your keyboard (above insert). Go to Paint, Paste or Control+V. Then edit the screenshot you just took to only include the photo and save it on your PC as a image file. From there you can do anything

I think its a flash file.....
another way you could do it, is to install "download helper' (Firefox addon) which will grab the .swf file.

then you could play that in say VLC, and do a screen capture,,(screen grab of the frame that each dress appears on)

edit: then edit them in a picture editor.... could be done in mspaint....

if I new which dresses you wanted, I'd do it for you! (NO CHARGE!) lol....

editx2: .swf not playing in VLC.....just checked..... will be something else that will play it...

If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.

You can also copy the photo out of Paint and directly into Word if you like.

    Copy in Paint,
    then Paste in Word

    sorry,

was in the shed.... converted it in to an .avi.... so you should play this in VLC and just pause on the dress you want, and screen capture it (How ever you want too in VLC its video->snapshot) .... then go from there

    (3.95MB) video file.

edit: added an image to show it works....

sorry, excuse the watermark, used a demo converter! lol..... have one, just not on this machine

either way, ctrl-prtsc and paste into mspaint(or better) or the above.... should get you in the direction your need

Hi z1gg33, I just tried it under ubuntu and PrtScn brings up a screenshot manager seems to work ok. It auto saves as a png without needing Gimp.

    G'Day Cobber,
Snagit9 is your answer to a Maidens Prayer.

Get your page, zoom out to fit, then cut with Snagit9 and save as JPG. (many other formats available). Then you can do what you like in various picture editors.
I use it quite a lot.

That program is the best thing since sliced bread and Vegemite.
Let me know if you want the others done.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

I use Gadwin Printscreen, probably not as versatile as snagit, but it's free.
