Fantastic work Marty, really impressed
Gee Marty, I'm always telling you that you have too much time on your hands.....
Great effort mate.
great job
Great Job...Looks Good
Very nice...
What size screen is in there,
Are you only running Mame?
Looks great!
Ohhh I want one now LOL
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Very Nice.
Looks like you need a spot to store your keyboard though. Love the MAME bit across the top.
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.
that is a sweet looking unit
Noice - I definitely need to finish my cab now......
mate got a 19" lcd not wide screen
chime screen the reason is the screen when you apply power it defaults to standbye mode
the acer i had you had to hit the power button each time you powered it up from switch witch meant lifting glass
looking at a jukebox front end not decided what to use
plans are under way to convert a 20" table machine
Thats cool i have not seen that for ages i had a mate build a table machine about ten years ago and it was sweet
Wow! That looks great. First time I have seen your work marty and I am loving it! Keep it up!
Top looking unit marty, looks just like a bought model
Well done.
Marty, nice work mate.
I am glad you kept the control panel sensible. A lot of people seem to go for the "cram every fkn widget possible onto the control panel" approach. Trackballs, knobs, sliders, guns, wheels, 4 way, 8 way, whistles, etc.
99% of games need a pair of 8 way sticks and 3 buttons, some need 6, maximum.
For your Jukebox program, I use Arcade Jukebox.
Works nicely, very configurable.
I normally use Game Launcher for the MAME menu, it's full screen and can handle a rotated screen and is completely configurable as well. It's not easy to set up but when you get it right it is nice.
The other thing I like about Game Launcher is the fact that I can interface other emulators to it, NES, C64, Amiga, etc... So my MAME boxes have 5000 MAME games, around 30,000 commodore 64 games, etc etc etc..
What I have done is made one mame machine with all the software set up, then the next machine gets a cloned hard drive with new motherboard drivers.
I have built 9 MAME cabinets now and they just keep getting better each time.
My next step is to dump the bloated XP and run a version of TinyXP so it boots up quick.
Can you give me any info here???
What sort of boot times does your machine have, shut down??
Any problems running tinyxp??
A work of art and even a pic of my fav game.
Great cabinet, what was the approximate cost ?
That's a mint looking cabinet!
I wish I had handman skills. If you're ever in the business of making some $$ from the units, I'd definately be in the market to purchase one.
