Blue/White Cam

I recently acquired a CI MODULE Irdeto-2 DVB 1.06 SOFTCELL 2.09 Cam,
part nr. 901275 rev 1.0

I have a number of these units and have experienced no problems.
My question is, are they repairable?, if indeed this one needs repair.
What happens is when the unit is used the screen pixelates badly and the resultant pictures are unwatchable.
If I use the same card with a similar Blue/White cam the pixelation doesn't happen.

Any help would be appreciated.

cwispy is probably the best person to answer this one or give some advice.

The 2.09 are a non flashable cam and cant be software upgraded as far as I know. I am using one in a DM7020 and have started to get the odd slight pixelation and am now wondering if it is cam related after reading your post.
I have 2 of them , so I will swap them around and see if I notice a difference.

For what they are worth , replacement is probably a cheaper option than repair.

There is not really much that can be done with the 2.09 cam and I wouldnt recommend wasting money on trying to fix one of them with the cost of a replacement being what it is.

2.09 cam reads,updates and plays my whitey perfectly - zero glitches in both

Actually this is now really quite weird.
Whilst I don't have any original subscriber cards to test this unit with I do have the obligatory gamma and gold, and regardless of what is used with this blue and white the screen pixelates, however I've now noticed that when I have a working combination in a Humax, lets say Gamma in slot and gold is CI 1 with a Purple, if I place the blue and white in CI 2 empty, no card inserted, pictures from the other two locations also start to pixelat.
