UEC Decoder sound problem

I have just hooked up uec decoder which is not yet activated there is no sound when scrlling through channels but is ok when selected via EPG button,

any ideas ?

I would hazard a guess and say that as its NOT activated is why there is no sound on any channel.

If you are not getting pictures, apart from the tuning channel (along with no sound) it will be because the box/smartcard are not yet registered/activated.

Let's know if the problem still exists after activation.

There are 2 channels with pics being the info cahnnel and abc se.

If i use the epg to select channel pics and sound

but if i use the channel up/down button pics but no sound.

not keen on activating in case i have to return the box to supplier

Yes, I think one of the ABC channels (ABC3?) isn't encrypted for some odd reason ATM.

I don't understand why you bought the box and are not keen to activate it.

It will make no difference if the box/card is activated or not if it's faulty and needs to be returned, because if it's replaced, then the replacement box & card will also require activation.

Buying a VAST stb and not activating it is rather like buying a car but not starting it because you dont want to put petrol in the tank.
