You can buy them at Dick Smiths for about $20.

What I'm trying to do is connect a CCD camera A/V sig over the house TV antenna system. I have used a RF Mod unit but it is a UHF out, but this guy wants to run this CCD system over the antenna system to his new Digital TV set

Your saying the new digital tv doesnt have an analog tuner in it at all?
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

DVB-T modulators are still too expensive and are aimed at the broadcast industry

It amazes me that we are years into digital TV, SD or HD, and still no domestic quality reasonably priced RF modulators have been made available.

How hard can it be ?

The market would be there and in 2013 analogue will possibly be extinct and still nothing. I need at least one now.

    Hmmm me says why ?

I don't think that it is a question of hardness, it is more like there is a lack of consumer demand to allow development of a cheap ASIC/ASSP to bring the price down.

No doubt in time this will happen as the requirement for such a device increases, although my reading of the technical literature is that development costs for this type of solution is high.

Here I am over a year later and there still does not appear to be a consumer quality RF modulator

Anyone come across this type of product ???

Judging by the invisible stampede 5 hours after posting to answer I would hazard a guess that the answer is still NO!
MAYBE once all anolog services are gone and TV's have no analog tuners fitted to take the current RF of such devises, you may find them on the market.

With Analog services being switched off in my area July 2010 I guess you are right but it will be a long time before TV's are made without Analog tuners.

    Waiting ....
