Maybe I'm pointing out the bleeding obvious but most any HTPC software will allow you to connect your cable service through the provider's STU using an analogue s-video or (sometimes) component video connection. Of course the picture quality will suffer somewhat and you will be restricted to one channel per STU but it may be better than nothing while you're waiting on a fix.My first born to get the damn orange cards working, my htpc and dvb-c are now useless. And no more inputs left on the tv. Don't want to repeat everything that has been said but without the htpc's features Foxtel will be cancelled in our house.

If you want to keep the blue cards online all you need to do is if they implement the changes once again have as many members as we can call Fox and complain about the above described interuptions.
Complaining will do bugger all. They only time they ever listen is when you call disconnections.
That's when you're trying to save money, disconnections will do bugger all in regards to encryption changes.
If people complain, and they believe boxes are malfunctioning with the encryption system, then they will hold off on them, as they have done at the moment.
We are not the only ones who read this forum.
I'm quite liking the iQHD box that I just upgraded to. I do miss the HTPC integration though. And I also miss being able to watch on my iPad and iPhone.
Plenty of ways to do that though. I watch Foxtel on my Iphone and Ipad.
lookup and get yourself a Vulkano Platinum.
They have Foxtel IR codes so you can change channels and use all the features of the STB
