back to orig receiver...just got sick of the brake up every 10 seconds.....(different times of night seems to be better than others).

I would not mind using my blue, in original (I HATE IT TO BE SURE), not because its crap, (which in any ones money it is) but I HATE having to scroll through crap I do not even get.... for me all the HD chanls..... the music chans, et al....

its kind of BS, as I hardly ever watch it anyway .....

That's just the smell of a dusty orange card burning inside an IQ2 from a defective power supply that hasn't been used for quite some time.

It could also be the smell of $1500 in cash in your wallet from the money saved each year after telling Foxtel to take back their crap equipment.

Maybe I'm pointing out the bleeding obvious but most any HTPC software will allow you to connect your cable service through the provider's STU using an analogue s-video or (sometimes) component video connection. Of course the picture quality will suffer somewhat and you will be restricted to one channel per STU but it may be better than nothing while you're waiting on a fix.

If you want to keep the blue cards online all you need to do is if they implement the changes once again have as many members as we can call Fox and complain about the above described interuptions.

Complaining will do bugger all. They only time they ever listen is when you call disconnections.

That's when you're trying to save money, disconnections will do bugger all in regards to encryption changes.

If people complain, and they believe boxes are malfunctioning with the encryption system, then they will hold off on them, as they have done at the moment.

I'm quite liking the iQHD box that I just upgraded to. I do miss the HTPC integration though. And I also miss being able to watch on my iPad and iPhone.

Plenty of ways to do that though. I watch Foxtel on my Iphone and Ipad.

lookup and get yourself a Vulkano Platinum.

They have Foxtel IR codes so you can change channels and use all the features of the STB

You only reinforce my point, even if you are trying to argue against it, because they will view us as 'the enemy', and will now view anyone complaining about the 'error' as simply wanting to get it working in their HTPC again.

I agree, these Vulkanos are unreal. Had one since last week.
Still trying to map my remote properly but I'm amazed how well the video streams to my Iphone.

Good to hear the streaming works good.

It's still only a single channel 'solution' ? correct?

For anyone who is bored, you can get Foxtel via XBox 360 free for a month.
