    Hi All,

Something that may be of interest - the chap around the corner from me has the old UEC DSD1000 (first pox nds box), which is still working fine, i borrowed his blue card from it and tested in the following boxes that are running oscam/mgcamd combo.

    VuDuo
    DM518
    DM600PVR

With all 3 boxes the card did not work at all, i returned the card back to the provider UEC DSD1000 and all fine.

Clearly, poxtel has finally found a way to implement the changes that also includes the older provider boxes without the need to swap them out, i suspect that earlier (before today) an ota was performed to all provider boxes including the UEC's, thus ending the blue cards, then they were ready to fire up todays new trick.

I concluded my tests 1/2 hour before this post.

    cheers

Now that they've implemented the modified ECM on the 090B stream and got operational firmware running on the older more vulnerable boxes it should be a lot easier to reverse the algorithm and identify the extra keys being used.
The action today was needed to implement a fix to reverse it.
Plus now there is more motivation to work towards that goal ;-)

The diminishing quality in content and visual quality of Foxy channels however is working against that motivation.

If it happens in other markets you would expect a little more progress on a solution

It's already happened in other markets, but they are all different custom configurations for implementing an extra encryption step. That's why the ECM header changes for each implementation are unique.

    mgcamd 135/oscam4100.

with exception to the vu that runs the latest oscam.

Now - would be the time to do a firmware dump from the older boxes me thinks.

    cheers

Just heard that friend of a friend with old UEC DSD1000 had blank screen on several channels yesterday & got nowhere with pox support. Apparently they were saying that nothing had changed on their end, so his eqpt must be faulty. Then he turned on box this afternoon & no pictures. He again got on to pox support & they again wanted to send someone out. He finally demanded to speak to a supervisor who eventually got him to check the f/w version - seems he turns the UEC off at the power point when not watching it, & the box was running the old version. The supervisor triggered an update & within 1/2 an hour the pix were back.

it amazes me how some here have no idea between their cards
austar ,chucky,4.whatever you like is irdeto
all foxtel cards be them blue ,fruity or whatever you like to call them are nds
and its nds that are affected by these changes and has nothing to do with austar

and on a personal note as foxtel and austar are such a load of repetitive shit and all i seem to be paying for these days is crap repeats and more ads than the local rag (also owned by murdoch may i add ) can someone out there hack vast as thats all i would watch and its more informative as well

    cmon
let there be a vast polar card or t4 or gamma plus 300 or pinkdragon and i,ll put my hand in my pocket and spend some money on one as thats all i would watch
and you know its a sad day in aus when people would rather have hacked free tv than hacked pay tv

    shame rupie shame

Just for info. I haven't used my Fuxbox for months. Put the bluey in and instant pictures...so the firmware was already there.

It was probably an out of curriosity question. I would think most realise Foxtel and Austar use different encryption and the streams are simulcrypt supporting both NDS and Irdeto for the respective providers.

Was watching sky business around 7PM yesterday and lost audio on a bluey but picture was still there. Did not think much about it at the time as I was heading out anyway. Hmm, time to implement plan B
