servicing Davey pumps and the like

Hi All
I have a Davey XP350 pressure system that is not pumping water. After dismantling I have found the impeller is free spinning on the shaft.. This raises the question how do I remove the impeller when it free spins??? I am guessing the nut holding onto the shaft is inside the impeller plastic construction... any ideas appreciated

yes you are correct - they use a brass nut cast in the plastic impeller and the impeller nut to remove the impeller is part of the cast plastic (with the brass underneath) - so be nice to the replacement
I have replaced the bearings, impeller, ceramic seals, removed an ants nest, replaced the relay

I was lucky enough to go to the local "pump man" and get all replacements. Eventually the bladder in the header tank let go and I decided to replace the pump, but I suppose a service of 24/7, can't complain
