    Cool Chinese BNCs ?

I have noticed lately that the BNCs I'm using are not fitting properly on the standard stripped coax. When inserting the centre(with crimped pin) into the BNC body it is not going in far enough to lock the centre pin. It seems that the outer sheathing needs to be stripped back an extra mm or two to let the cetre pin lock in. It is not a huge problem (just annoying) as my stripper only has a depth adjustment & you can't adjust the length of strip. Anyone else noticed me or is my supplier just sourcing cheap connectors ?

Yep... I've seen issues with some BNC's too.
The bayonet mechanism has been sloppy on some, too.

Welcome to my world. Here in the UK we've bee getting some real bad BNC's. The problem is the market has bee flooded with cheapo imports and the quality is shocking. Eve if you crimp them ok they dont last more than a few months if theres any vibration around. Companies over here won't listen to us techs though and would rather keep buying cheap shit and keep having to go and replace them! False economy or what!

Use a product called quick caps as they are awesome.
Sleeve fits all coax cable and 1 BNC fits all... They are also a true
75 ohm and also re-useable.... Cheaper then compression
and I love using them as it takes about 10-15 seconds
Per BNC.. ( no crimping or solderting the centre pins )

Take my word and try these !!!

You can get them from Video Security Products and CSD !!

    Is this the product?

No mention of impedance, or if stranded centre conductors can be used.

    Hi,

Yeah thats the ones same as the ones from Video Security Products..

I use them all the time now and man they are awesome... Plus Fits all cables, so it's a one fits all system...

I will never go back to Standard BNC again.

There is a new crimping tool as well that makes it alot better.

Prices are about $1 - $1.30 depending on the supplier..

    Thanks

    Default BNCs

There is a good source of new style CCTV/Audio/RF connectors on the market, these are a quality product sourced from Europe. They are called Quick Caps.

I would say most of them come from the same place... The good ones have the rough edges around the connector and the cheap ones don't... be careful of this....

companies that have the good ones are below... Beware the cheap ones as they not only cost the same but will give you enormous hassels.

    Provisioncctv
    Video Security Products

Other then that I won't anything else... Easy to use and reliable...
