what is drawback to having a BANNED xbox 360 from LIVE ?
and what is it worth ? Premuim console

apart from the obvious...
-- some updates cant be gotten - for example the divx update I believe (or was the case at the time it came out)
as for how much $250 - $300ish would be reasonable I rekon but I dunno hey Id knock a hundred off it as its banned...
gotta ask yourself if you like playing online.... and from what I have seen you want a modded box anyway so I spose if you get an already banned unit youre perhaps delaying the inevitable? thats my 2c
what does the divx update allow you to do.... will it play mkv files. I wish we could open up the 360 into a media centre it would be awesome. Where do you get this divx update from.... I am not banned from live
be no playing online games...
but divx update might be issue.. as I like to use as media centre like I did with xbox orig ...

i don't think xbox 360 is as usable as a mediacentre as the xbox 1 is yet... am i right in saying this.
@montessa - dunno if it plays mkv files...as for the divx update it allows you to play divxbut for mine its kinda shit as it is not compatible with older divx (of which I have many) works fine with newer files though
@woodstock.... the 360 does a shit job of replacing the xbox1 as a media centre....I still use both

I just connected my 360 to a new pc running vista and i now have access to Media Centre. Since vista has media centre built in, once you start sharing with the 360 it allows you to use the version of media centre built in to the xbox.

media centre looks pretty but tversity is way better and easier too setup i would say.
also i just sold a banned 360 with 20gb drive and wireless control + cords etc for $170 , if that means anything too you.

Thats $150.... i know you can get cheaper but $170 is not too bad.
