ii use a bunnings standard issue (antsig) 4 way splitter without any issues - think it cost 10 bucks - only using three outlets though so cant help you with the amp
Hi Guys,
Bit of a different question for you.
I have 4 foxtel outlets in my house. Three of these are active. I had the foxtel installer come around today to install another outlet which he did, but he had to disconnect the non-active foxtel outlet for this to work.
He said that you can only have 3 outlets without an amplifier. If I was going to have four outlets, I would need a four way cable splitter and an amplifier (at my expense).
My question is do any of you guys know what amplifiers foxtel use on the Telstra Cable Network and what splitters they use? I would like to have all four outlets active even if I'm not using them all the time.
I don't mind if you guys point out products that are not foxtel approved, just as long as they work.
Thanks guys
Zacker

think the item mrcomputer linked was used by people using the early DM500C boxes with the shithouse tuners.
Might be worth putting up a wanted post in the BST section, someone might still have one kicking around.
This is what is used by official installers:
Zinwell HAD-A3-4RU
If you ask in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum someone should have one to sell you. About $150, but its a solid product (and suitable for outdoors).
