    Default One connection, two houses

    HI

I hope this is the right place. My sister is buying my mother a G4 (Mac) Notebook and we want to get her on the Net as well. I am going to buy an (wireless) Airport Express setup so she can use the notebook anywhere in the house or yard.

    Q.

Is it possible to have one (wired) aDSL1 connection running into two different houses which are 4km apart, what I was thinking of doing was using my settings in the Airport to give her (free) cheap Net access.

Would both different routers, etc work at the same time or would there be issues, e.g one going faster then the other ...anyone here with any experience on this?

    thank you!

Can you actually see the 2 houses from each other? If so there are ways to get wireless working over that sort of distance

Yes 4Km is no problem with line of sight.

The way to test, is to 'flash' the link, using the sun and a handheld mirror.
