    Default Smartmouse/Phoenix 3.57/6Mhz Programmer Jumpers

    Hi All,

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but my searching didn't yeild much.

I have one of these smartmouse/phoenix programmers from sattronics and I would like to use it in phoenix mode on a linux box using CCcamd 2.0.8 to CS a Fux en dee s card. My first question would be, is it suitable?

If so, my next question is, does anyone know how to jumper it to run in phoenix mode at 3.57 mhz as I have no documentation and it isn't obvious to a noob like me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers!

Flip it over,.. there should be something etched onto the PCB to help you.

Otherwise with the thing in front of you,.. USB towards you and card slot away,...

    Code:
              A-B-C

         1
         2
         3
    Link A-B : its a Phoenix
    Link B-C : its a smart mouse

    Link 1-2 : its at 6MHz
    Link 2-3 : its at 3.57 MHz

    Hope that helps,..

    Jim.....

    Mortsamis
I've attached a photo of the Jaycar board I built,

There are 2 sets of 3 x jumper pins named JP1 & JP2, JP1 is located directly behind the card slot on my board, JP2 is located directly next to 3.5 & 6.00MHz crystals (circled in red),

To change my board to 3.5MHz in phoenix mode, do this by just switching the jumper on JP2 covering pins 1&2 to now cover pins 2&3

JP1 is for Phoenix & smartmouse mode, and to change this from phoenix to smartmouse modes you do exactly the same thing.

JP1 & JP2 should be clearly marked on your board - if not ring the vendor.

Thanks a lot osci and jimbo. Once it was jumpered correctly, it fired up just fine. It's happily running now and serving my dreamboxes. Legends!
